family lifestyle shoot

I've eventually got around to blogging my Good Friday lifestyle shoot, better late than never!

I photographed this family 2 years ago and it was great coming back for more :)

We had some fun in the back garden with a giant bubble maker, before going for a little walk down to the remains of the Roman Baths in Ribchester.

You may recognise the children from my Comic Relief photos, and I would like to thank the family for supporting me in that adventure :)

lifestyle portrait shoot

It was Saturday morning and I had the pleasure of shooting a lovely family who had won their shoot at a raffle held at Cottam Primary School.
We went for a walk around Cottam with Mac their year old Border Terrier.

Daisy's birthday

It was my neice's 2nd birthday last weekend - I got an invite for Sunday dinner (roast beef - yum!)
Daisy Lou got a 'rock chick' guitar from nanny & grandad - big hit!
Although I was very proud of the daisy hair clips - good find aunty Sam.

getting to grips with the basics

being shown how to hold it 'properly'

"not sure pink is really my colour"

no, this way is so much better

photo shoot for comic relief

Here are a few images form the photo shoot I held in the park in aid of Comic Relief - considering it wasn't the best day for playing in the park - I managed to raise £65 so a huge thank you to all those who took part.

One of the first to arrive - Maisie, Millie & Finlay - I loved Finlay's French spider costume!

By the time Emily & Zach arrived it was a tad wet and cold but we found some shelter near the bowling green - They had rushed over straight from Emily's ballet lesson, many thanks for their mum & dad for making such an effort to join us - much appreciated.

Alice had a more 'grown-up shoot' but was very willing and able to have fun!

Red Nose Day 2009

I was watching the trailers for Red Nose Day the other day and began to reminisce the days when I was a Nursery Nurse and dressed in all sorts of interesting outfits and with the help of the children we raised money for Comic Relief. We would bake, paint and dress up , oh those were the days.
Now I am a self-employed one man band I thought dressing in my tutu to sit at the computer all day would just be a little sad ;(

So, I have decided to get out there and ‘do something fun’ for Comic Relief.

But… ….I need you!

I am having a zany photo shoot in the park. The shoot will cost £10.00 and last about 15 minutes. Images taken (about 4/6) will be put on a CD and posted out to you to do with what you will :)
The idea is to have fun - let the children choose their own outfits (!), come in their dressing up outfits, funky hats. Let your imagination go wild!
I will be in Moor Park, Preston from 11.00 am – 3.00am on Saturday 7th March. I will be based near the children’s play area near the bowling pavilion.
If you are planning to come it would be great if you could drop me a line to let me know or – join the Facebook Group

All proceeds will go to Comic Relief.

So if you have any children, know any children, or are a child at heart come along and join the fun.

p.s I’ll be the one in the tutu!

Richard & Emma

It was a cold Thursday in February for Richard & Emma's wedding at St Leonard's Church in Walton-le-Dale. There was a flurry of snow when the bridesmaids & then Bride arrived.

After a lovely ceremony Richard & Emma along with their friends and family headed off to Mitton Hall, near Whalley for their reception.

Mitton Hall has recently been refurbished and it looked amazing, with a variety of places to take some photos and we braved the cold for a few outside too.

Here are a few images of the day. The rest of the images are now available to view. If you have a password you can click here to be taken diretly to the website.
